How to Add & Use the Audible Discord Bot

Follow this complete 3-step walkthrough to link your Audible library, stream audiobooks together in voice channels, and master every slash command.

1. Add Bot to Your Server

Invite the bot to any Discord server where you have administrative or server management privileges.

  1. Click the Add to Discord invite link.
  2. Select your Discord server from the authorization dropdown.
  3. Confirm required permissions: Connect, Speak, and Use Application Commands.
  4. Click Authorize. Slash commands sync to your server instantly!

2. Link Your Audible Account

Authentication is private, isolated, and encrypted per user ID in the bot database.

  1. Type /auth login in your server. The bot will send you a secure private DM.
  2. Follow the interactive prompt with your Audible email, password, and OTP (2FA code).
  3. Alternative: If you use audible-cli, use /auth upload to attach your existing auth.json.
  4. Verify your linked books anytime by typing /auth status.

You need to link your Audible profile once. Type /auth login in any channel, check your private DMs from the bot, and complete the quick login.

❓ Can multiple listeners hear the same book?

Yes! When the bot is summoned into a voice channel, every human listener hears the high-fidelity Opus stream synchronized in real time.

❓ Is my Amazon password safe?

The bot does not store your plaintext password. It performs an official OAuth handshake and stores private authorization tokens isolated to your Discord user ID.

❓ What happens if everyone leaves voice?

The bot automatically detects empty voice channels, saves your exact second timestamp into the database, and disconnects gracefully.
